A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL
My name is Jennifer Hamby and I am proud and honored to serve as your principal. I am looking forward to this new adventure and working with the collaborative community of Rogers Elementary. We will continue to thrive as we capitalize on our current successes and focus on the future by meeting the needs of our 21st Century Learners.
I am a proud product of the Clark County School District, graduating from Bonanza High School. My educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, a reading endorsement and a TESL endorsement, all from UNLV. Go Rebels! As an educator, I have had the opportunity to serve as a classroom teacher, learning strategist, Instructional Coach and Assistant Principal.
I am committed to leading and providing support to the Rogers community so that all students experience their own personal high level of success. This can only be done through a shared belief system, mutual trust, and an understanding that everything we do has a purpose and our conversations center around learning. Perhaps the most important link to student success is understanding the whole child; their experiences are what make them who they are. We as a school community must capitalize one these strengths and make school a joyous, meaningful experience for all stakeholders. Our students deserve healthy minds and a safe school. Every member of our school community make a difference in the lives of the children at Rogers Elementary.
I have an open door policy and I am looking forward to getting to know you. I am energized and look forward to working together in making the Rogers Community the very best it can be for all!
